I’M TIMOTHY KEENEY, A CONNECTICUT-BASED PHOTOGRAPHER SPECIALIZING IN LIMITED EDITION FINE ART LANDSCAPE AND NATURE PRINTS FOR COLLECTORS.

My work is rooted in intention and refinement.  It translates the experience of wild places into enduring images.

Photography is my way of preserving the fleeting beauty of a moment, distilling a scene down to its essence, free from distractions. When I compose an image, I refine every element to convey not just what I saw, but how it felt to be there.  My goal is to go beyond documentation, highlighting the details that matter most and creating a connection to the scene.

Much of my portfolio explores the structure and movement of waterfalls, as well as the landscapes of Iceland, where the land is being shaped in real time.

I invest a great deal of time researching locations, studying lighting and topography, and visualizing the final image before ever stepping behind the camera.  There is a deep satisfaction in seeing a planned vision come to life, but nature often has its own ideas.  Weather shifts, perspectives change, and sometimes the best shot is the one I didn’t expect. Remaining open to those possibilities is just as important as any preparation.

Spending time behind the camera is when I feel most present.  It pulls me away from the noise of daily life and into a state of complete focus where time slows, outside concerns fade, and everything comes down to light, composition, and the moment in front of me.

Beyond the creative fulfillment I find in my work, I share these images to invite others into landscapes that have left a lasting impression on me.  In a world that often feels chaotic, I hope my work can serve as an antidote, restoring focus and reconnecting us to something larger than ourselves.  You can explore a curated selection in my Personal Favorites gallery, or view the full portfolio.
